Projects of 2013 – Part 2 of 2

Belated but here as promised.

If a refresher is needed for part one the link can be found here: Altare’s Custom Work for 2013

Halfway into the year, work began on 7 of 12 pews for the St. Anthony Oratory of La Salette Academy.

Also included were two kneelers to go up front of the pews and a communion rail.

Since the lion crest created earlier in the year was successful, we obtained the go-head for a half-sized version plus 7 full sized crests without the outer frame.

With barely a day break after delivering the above items to the school, we were milling air-dried oak to make a built-in bookcase for a private home.

Almost simultaneously, 5 more pews were moving through the shop for delivery by the end of September.

October saw the crowning achievement for the St. Anthony chapel with the installation of the altar and canopy.

To end the calender year with a blast (but start the liturgical year), we completed this magnificent organ casework just a few days in advance of Christmas.

That’s all folks.  Doing more would have been nice but there’s only so much that can be accomplished in one year.
